Our Prince Charming

We had a great time celebrating Halloween with David this year! We went to Boo at the Zoo last weekend with Philip, Holley and Lauren and spent Halloween with them also at Cheryl and Alan's house.
David was our little Prince Charming and got smiles everywhere he went! We were amazed that he didn't even mind wearing his costume on either occasion. He loved seeing pumpkins everywhere and especially playing with our stuffed one at home.
I'll be posting more pictures from Aunt Holley soon, hopefully!

We have a toddler now!

David started walking the week of his birthday,
so I thought you might like some pictures!

Some more pics of our adorable ALMOST one year old!?!?!

We are so proud of our little guy! Being parents has been such a joy for Steve and I and it only seems to get better all the time!! We're looking forward to celebrating David's 1st birthday this Sunday with family and friends!
Our little Ducky

Wow, it's WAY past time for an update!!

Well, as you can probably imagine, we're busy keeping up with our little monkey!!! He seems to be more fun everyday and is getting into everything!!!
I just can't believe that he's almost one year old, it's crazy!!
He's cruising all over the furniture and walls, he sometimes lets go of the couch and stands for one or two seconds, he is pointing, he's able to climb stairs (uh-oh), giggling all the time and makes the funny cheesy grin, he loves to make us laugh, he has 8 teeth, he is eating anything we give him, and he's definitely aware of strangers and even sometimes friends/family that he's not seen in a while.
One thing that some of you may not know is this summer, Steve and I decided that it'd be best to not adopt from China right now. We're quite busy with an 11 month old and we really feel that it's too soon to have 2 children so close in age. It was a heartbreaking decision, but one that we know is best for our family for many reasons. We do hope to adopt another child in a few years!
(I'll try to update the blog more often than I have lately)

A Tribute to David's Daddy

Steve,
Thank you for being the best daddy in the world to our precious son, David! I know you are as amazed as I am each time we awake to know that God has given us this amazing gift! We have been through a lot to get here and I believe that you'll agree that it has ALL been worth every minute!!! I know that David loves you and thinks you are so funny. He loves to laugh at all your silly voices/sounds and faces! He loves for you to sing to him and read him stories. He loves the way you play with him and loves to fall asleep on you! He trusts you and looks to you for security.
You are such a sweet, caring father and remind me a lot of my own father. I look forward to our future and see so many fun times together ahead of us with our son! Happy First Father's Day, Baby!
All my love,
Julie

Here's just look back into your life with your son, so far....

In Honor of David's Paternal Grandparents

David,
We are so thankful that we live so close to Daddy's parents and so grateful that Nanny and Grandpa are able to care for you while Mommy and Daddy go to work each day. We are so glad that you are able to form such a great bond with Nanny and Grandpa!! Nanny is so loving and nurturing, while Grandpa is so gentle and silly!!! We hope we all are able to teach you about how much family means to us and that you feel all the love we have to give you!!
All my love,
Mommy
