3 months old, a little late update

At the beginning of January, David had his three month checkup. The doctor said that his verbal skills and his head control were like those of a four/five month old. Hmmm, wonder where those verbal skills came from?!?!? Anyway, we were very proud of our little guy! One thing we did discover at his dr's appt was that David had his first cold and starting to get an ear infection. We had noticed him coughing and sneezing a little more than normal. So, we quickly got him on an antibiotic and ear numbing drops.
We found out that he weighed 10lbs 3 oz and was 22 inches long. Since that appt, we've been back once, 11 days later, and David weighed 10lbs 14oz. Wow, 11 oz in 11 days!!!
He has discovered his hands and loves to eat them and look at them! He's such a happy baby!!!! He's so observant of everything now. His head/eyes follow things across the room, like daddy walking around, the cats on the couch, and Lauren running around, trying to make him laugh! He does smile all the time and laughs some also. He enjoys his play gym, his swing and still loves to eat! He really looks at the pictures in books and likes to be sung to. He's really starting to pick his head up more on his tummy and strengthening those arm muscles!
We had his 3 month old pictures taken at Target, so I'll add a few of those and a few others to show you some of his many faces!

Happy New Year Part 2

When mommy was 1 1/2 yrs old, her mommy made a New Year's banner for her. Aunt Holley made one for Lauren's first New Years (I'll add that photo soon!) and we made one for David, of course! Aunt Holley took some great photos!

Happy New Year 2008!! Part 1

Happy New Year 2008!!
Our tradition the past few years has been spending New Year's Eve at Cheryl and Alan's and that's what we did again this year! Cheryl fixed a delicious prime rib and we had lots of snacks, as usual. We all got a chance to play the new Wii they got for Christmas and we all exchanged gifts from Christmas. The kids all enjoy playing together so much and we know David will enjoy it when he gets a little older! We had a 'fire party' outside and fireworks! What a great way to ring in the new year--with amazing friends and family!!
We are so happy to be spending this new year being parents to David and can't wait to see all the amazing changes he has in store!! And hopefully 2008 will bring David's new sister, Sarah!
