What a ride we've been on!
We got a call last Monday night, from our adoption attorney that a birthmom had chosen us to parent her son that had been born Sunday, September 30th. Boy, were we in shock!! Especially after being in line for a China adoption for over 21 months!!!
Well, we really felt that God had presented us with the amazing job of being this little boy's parents and decided to proceed.
He was born in Morristown and weighed 5.5 lbs and was 18.5 inches long.
We first met him on his third day, Tuesday, October 2nd. What a surreal time that was! We went to the hospital with Steve's parents and saw our beautiful boy for the first time and we all were instantly in love!!
We named him David James.
We came home on Monday, October 10th and are finally getting in the routine of having a newborn son at home. His room is quickly transforming from a girl's nursery into a boy's.
We've had lots of visitors to welcome sweet David into our family!!
